It's cold, and dark, and I just want to eat soup every day.
I really like chowders, but I find that they're so heavy with
dairy that I end up feeling awful afterwards. I wanted to make one
that'd be a healthy and hearty meal. You'll want to play with the
spices, and get it to your liking.
Make Your Meal Even Healthier Tip:
More veggies! This soup can (and should) be on the thicker side, so load it up with potatoes, or if you prefer corn, toss in some corn (mine is frozen from this summer, which is great for soups). Skip the bacon that most chowders also have to lower the salt content!
